With just over two weeks until the primary, Iowans who deserve to know where candidates stand on the issues are wondering, “Where’s Patty?”
In today’s Cedar Rapids Gazette article, Iowa State University political science professor Steffen Schmidt “said Patty Judge’s campaign ‘may be the lowest key Senate race in the U.S.’”
Perhaps that’s because there aren’t signs of a campaign schedule on her website, Facebook or Twitter. While other candidates in the U.S. Senate race provide a schedule, like State Sen. Rob Hogg and U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley, Judge appears to prefer to try to keep her schedule a secret.
Priorities for Iowa, Inc., a nonpartisan advocacy group dedicated to standing up for Iowa families, was able to uncover two recent events Judge did attend. The only problem is that they appear to be out-of-state.
At each event, Judge appeared alongside other candidates chosen by the Washington elite.
Patty Judge has skipped events where Iowans were able to ask questions of the candidates, but carves out time to rub shoulders with her fellow candidates who are Washington D.C. chosen ones.
Iowans deserve better. Iowans deserve a candidate who answers to them, not to Harry Reid and the Washington elite.
